CO2 neutrality

Carbon emissions caused by the conference on 24th and 25th of May including all travels have been offset via ecogood.

The contribution made by Autodesk ensures a comprehensible offsetting of carbon emissions. The offsetting amount warrants the carbon offsetting by retiring emission reduction certificates generated by a project in Cevizli, Turkey. The project uses wind as a renewable energy source and thereby replaces emissions caused by the use of conventional energy sources such as coal or gas. As a positive but important side effect, the project has generated jobs, has contributed to the improvement of the regional infrastructure and last but not least promotes the transfer of knowledge and technology.

The internationally acknowledged Gold Standard Certification of the project guarantees a reliable and independent verification of the emission reductions. The retirement of the adequate amount of emission reduction certificates on behalf of ecogood is monitored and verified by TÜV Nord.
