Carlo Perassi obtained his MSc degree in Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin and since 1996 he has been working as an independent consultant for government organizations and companies in Italy and abroad, mostly on projects related to the analysis and development of Free Software based systems. WOW SpA
As far as we know, WOW SpA was the first worldwide and it’s still the only financial holding founded by small investors to support the emerging airborne wind energy industry. Being a holding, we don’t produce goods or services: our only purpose is owning shares of other companies. At the moment, we have reached this target by buying shares of Kite Gen Research Srl, thus allowing small investors to take part in this industrial project for the exploitation of high altitude wind to produce electrical energy. Some investors are more interested in buying andr managing plants than buying shares or patents: this is the main reason why we have founded NOKE Srl, a company for a more general goal than WOW SpA. This short presentation is going to take place on the third anniversary of our foundation and it describes how we operate, the kind of projects we are funding, a survey of the activities of our associate or subsidiary companies and a few predictions about our future, leaving the last part of the talk for questions and answers.
